Centro Costa Salguero S.A. was created in 1993 with the purpose of building and operating a center which could host any kind of event, including exhibitions, conventions, shows, sports events, social gatherings, and company meetings. The Center was inaugurated in May, 1994. At that time, it had four pavilions and one auditorium, with a covered area of over 11,000 m2. Today, after the addition of pavilions 5 and 6 in 1998 and 1999, respectively, the covered area exceeds 20,000 m2, apart from the outdoor areas, and the parking & maneuvering areas. It now covers a total area over 40,000 m2 within the 17 hectares which make up the Complejo Costa Salguero. Nowadays, Centro Costa Salguero has become one of the main reference centers in the exhibitions and events market in the city of Buenos Aires, by hosting events on the most varied issues year after year, thus constituting a landmark in the city map.
